  1. COMPULSORY MATERIALS

The organization will provide all participants with the following materials, which are mandatory to participate in the Granfondo Stelvio Santini:

  • A top-of-the-range Santini Cycling Wear jersey, without which it will not be possible to access the starting grids and to be assisted at the food stops and mechanical assistance points
  • The front number, which must be placed in front of the handlebar, extended and clearly visible. It is forbidden to reduce, cut and wrap around the frame the front race number, concealing numbers, words or symbols
  • The race bib, to be placed on the back of the race jersey
  • The Granfondo Stelvio Santini chip to position under the saddle. Failure or incorrect use of the chip will result in the non-inclusion in the classifications of the hill climbs and the non-attribution of the total time achieved. The race number and the chip are strictly personal and not transferable to third parties, under penalty of immediate disqualification. The chip must be returned to the organization after the conclusion of the Granfondo, after the finish on the Stelvio or at the Palazzo Pentagono, where the pasta party will be held
  • Bracelet to access the pasta party

It is also mandatory for all participants to wear a helmet during the entire course of the event.

We kindly remind you that the temperatures in the last kilometers of the Stelvio could be rigid. We advise all participants to bring along some winter clothing (jacket, tights, gloves, shoe covers). You will have the opportunity to store these clothes, along with your change and a backpack to be used to descend to Bormio, in a bag that you will be given at race pack collection along with a sticker with your bib number to attack for its recognition. You will have to deliver the bag before the start of the Granfondo to the organization that will take care of bringing it to the top of the Stelvio where you will find it when you arrive. Some hotels in Bormio offer a free bag collection service the night before the Granfondo.

  1. MANDATORY RACE JERSEY

Use of the jersey is mandatory. The official jersey is an element of security and control for all the staff of the Granfondo Stelvio Santini to identify at all times the participants of the event. Without the race jersey it will not be possible to access the starting grids and be assisted at the food stops and mechanical assistance points.

It is very important during the registration process to carefully choose the size of your jersey following the size chart and the indications provided. Please note that the fit of the shirt is tight, so if you want a softer fit we recommend the choice of one or two sizes bigger.

  1. MEDICAL CERTIFICATE

Each participant must be in possession of a medical certificate for the practice of competitive cycling; participants of foreign residency must possess a medical certificate according to the E – Health Certificate model.

For each participant, both of Italian residence and foreign residence, the certificate of eligibility for participation must have expiry date no earlier than the day of the competition. The possession of an appropriate medical certificate will be checked using the DataHealth service; therefore, both for participants of Italian residency and foreign residency, it is necessary that the medical certificate provided is validated, through the DataHealth service (www.datahealth.it), within May 15th, 2020 .

Members who do not proceed to validate their medical certificate through the DataHealth service, will be asked to produce a valid copy of their certificate directly at the venue; this alternative will involve less simplified procedures and long queues for the verification of the requirements for participation.
